Hot Mop · Float · Stone

Tile set the way it was before the shortcuts — a hot-mopped pan built up in layers on site, walls floated to dead plumb, and a real mortar bed underneath. Simi Valley since 2020.

How we build

Everything that makes tile last is buried

By the time you see a finished bathroom, the part that determines whether it holds up for twenty years is already hidden.

  • Framing
  • K-lath
  • Scratch
  • Mortar float
  • Hot mop pan
  • Tile & grout

How we build

The method under the finish

  • Hot mop, not a peel-and-stick liner Layers built up on site and fully adhered. We flood-test it on our time.
  • Floated over K-lath, not tile on backer board Framing is rarely plumb. A float corrects it.
  • Uncoupling membrane under floor tile Ditra keeps grout lines intact over years instead of months.
  • Priced by the square foot One fixed number. If it takes longer under normal conditions, that is ours.

Services

What we set

Labor and rough materials. You pick and buy the tile or stone — we check quantities and layout before you order.

Our work

Not every room is a bath

A kitchen is still tile — the floor, the backsplash, the stone that takes the heat. This frame is stock, not our job.
